Gluten-Free Halloween Candy List πŸŽƒ | Simple Pizza Hack | GF Breakfast Ideas | New Recall

Hello Reader,

I just realized as I sat down to put together this week's newsletter that Thursday is Halloween!

Wow, that "crept" up on us fast!

In the "spirit" of Halloween, I have a few resources I'd like to share:

(1) πŸŽƒ Halloween Candy Guide: I've created this list of Halloween candies so you can see which are gluten-free treats and which are gluten-y tricks. Check out my HALLOWEEN CANDY LIST HERE before enjoying this year's loot.

(2) πŸ‘» Spooktacular Halloween Cookies: I make the most soft and tender sugar cookies ever - and they're super fun to decorate for Halloween. I've also included my egg-free royal icing recipe to help you. Get the RECIPE HERE.

(3) πŸ•ΈοΈ Spiderweb Brownies: These chocolate brownies are rich and fudgy. I like to decorate them with cobweb icing for Halloween. Get the RECIPE HERE.

Happy National Pizza Month

October is National Pizza Month, and while I love a good pizza, sometimes I don't feel like making one from scratch.

Enter these delicious (and adorable) pizza bites I made in my air-fryer using Crunchmaster's Artisan Cheese Crackers, jarred sauce, [turkey] pepperoni, and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Get the RECIPE HERE. Thank you, Crunchmaster, for supporting our community and sponsoring this recipe.

Breakfast Is My Jam!

Breakfast is arguably the most important meal of the day. I never miss breakfast.

Here are a few brands making breakfast better than ever for us gluten-challenged folk:

ZEGO: Do you love oatmeal but worry about gluten cross-contamination? Fret no moreβ€”ZEGO has you covered.

ZEGO oats are the cleanest oats money can buy. They're made with oats grown on dedicated fields. The oats have also been tested for purity and verified to be free from over 500 pesticides, heavy metals, gluten, and allergens! 🀩

ZEGO oats are worth every penny, especially if oats have been off your list for too long. ZEGO is also giving our community a special discount code.

Flapjacked: Flapjacked is an awesome brand for protein lovers who crave doughy sweets but want to cut back on sugar.

The company's Protein Pancake Mix and Mighty Muffins contain 20 grams of protein per serving (one cup). Sweet!

StroopClub: StroopClub makes sroopwafels, a classic Norwegian breakfsat treat. Their certified gluten-free variety is a soft cinnamon-y waffle cookie filled with Dutch caramel. It's tradition to warm a stroopwafel over a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy it for breakfast.

Lundberg Family Farms: I've been eating Lundberg rice cakes for a long time, and I can attest that they make a great breakfast treat. I usually slather the rice cake with peanut butter and eat it instead of toast.

Lundberg also makes these Apple Pie Mini rice cakes, which I included in my October Love Me Gluten Free box. I'll grab a handful of them to enjoy with eggs and fruit in the morning.

πŸ‘‰ You can find the full line of Lundberg products at Sprouts and lundberg.com.

Waffle Recall

The FDA issued a widespread recall of dozens of frozen waffle brands (mainly privately-labeled store brands) due to listeria. You can see the full list of brands and lot numbers on the FDA website. Gluten-free waffle brands affected include Trader Joe's, Good & Gather (Target), Simple Truth, Wegman's, and more.

New Product!

Feel Good Foods just launched new gluten-free soup dumplings. These are the first commercially available gluten-free soup dumplings I'm aware of, and I can't wait to try 'em.

Free Omer

It's been 384 days since Omer Shem Tov, a young Israeli man with celiac disease, was taken hostage. I think about Omer all the time. This is HIS STORY.

Sincerely,

Jenny 🩷
