Testing Cadbury Mini Eggs for Hidden Gluten | New Dip Recipe ☘️ | My Friend's New Cookie Biz 🍪

Published about 2 months ago • 2 min read

Hello Reader,

I'm on my way home from the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim.

I spent the week scoping out new products and eating a lot of samples. I can't wait to share the latest gluten-free finds with you in future newsletters and via Love Me Gluten Free sub boxes. 😊

In the meantime, here's what's going on in Gluten-Free Land this week:

New Nima Test

I know you love it when I test products for hidden gluten using my Nima Sensor, a portable gluten-detecting device that enables you to test your food for hidden gluten.

I know the device is controversial, and some haters hate it (per usual), but I see the good in it.

A reader (thanks, Tracy!) ate a bunch of Cadbury Mini Eggs and told me she didn't feel so well. Was it because of hidden gluten?

I looked into what Hershey's says about Cadbury Mini Eggs + independently tested them for hidden gluten and shared the full scoop in MY NEW ARTICLE.

Seeing Green ☘️

I created a NEW dip recipe in partnership with Crunchmaster Crackers this week, and it's super GREEN!

Side note ... I'm grateful that Crunchmaster is a sponsor of Good For You Gluten Free. The partnership enables me to create great content for you and supports all the great work we do here.

This month, I wanted to go green to honor St. Patrick's Day, and my Creamy Edamame & Avocado Dip is one lean, green machine! I also think the nutrient-dense dip pairs perfectly with Crunchmaster's Avocado Toast Crackers - yum!

You can get the RECIPE HERE and stock up on CRACKERS HERE.

Small Business Spotlight 🍪

I have some exciting news to share with you from my friend Addison of Organically Addison.

Addison recently launched a new cookie delivery business called Sweet Addison's. Her beautiful cookies are free from grains, gluten, dairy, soy, refined sugar, artificial flavors, and preservatives - whew!

She sent me her chocolate chip with sea salt cookie to try. I can attest that they are so soft and pillowy and the texture is spot on. They're made with almond flour and coconut sugar, so they're lightly sweetened.

Addison and I have been Insta-friends for a long time, so she's offering Good For You Gluten Free readers 10% off your first order with code WELCOME10. Thanks, Addison!

Now go treat yo-self to some grain-free cookies!

Recall Alert

Stonewall Kitchen of York, located in Maine, is recalling its Gluten-Free Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut Mix due to concerns that it may be contaminated with wheat. For more details on the exact product in question, visit the FDA website.

Oldie But Goodie Recipe

Easter is just a few weeks away, and I want you to be prepared. If you want to make cinnamon rolls or any sweet dough recipe, I highly recommend ordering Hand + Heart Sweet Dough Mix now.

The Sweet Dough Mix makes it easy to make sweet bread recipes without having to shop for tons of ingredients. And each mix makes two sweet dough recipes. So you could make gooey cinnamon rolls and chocolate babka with one bag!

Oh, and last week I made a batch of Chocolate Babka - isn't she pretty?

Bring Omer Home

It's been 160 long days since Omer Shem Tov, a young Israeli man with celiac disease, was taken hostage. His "crime?" Being Jewish. This is HIS STORY. #bringomerhomenow

Hello Reader, Can I be real with you for a minute? There's been something that's been challenging me behind the scenes, and I want to share a bit about it with you, the Good For You Gluten Free community. Google has issued several algorithm updates over the past few months and exploded its AI reach, all of which work against independent creators like me. I won't get into the weeds of how Google is slowly killing my site, Good For You Gluten Free, but it hasn't been easy to watch 10 years of...
