Hello Reader,

Can I be real with you for a minute?

There's been something that's been challenging me behind the scenes, and I want to share a bit about it with you, the Good For You Gluten Free community.

Google has issued several algorithm updates over the past few months and exploded its AI reach, all of which work against independent creators like me.

I won't get into the weeds of how Google is slowly killing my site, Good For You Gluten Free, but it hasn't been easy to watch 10 years of my hard work get buried in the Google graveyard.

How can I help our community if Google won't show my content? How can I cover the costs associated with running my site?

All of these worries keep me up at night.

The truth is, I keep going because of YOU. I love this community with every bone in my body, and I will fight for my site to stay alive as long as I can.

Today I want to share a few ways you can support my work:

(1) Please continue to open my Friday newsletter every week.

This small action ensures my content gets seen by the community even if Google hides it from search results.

I send a newsletter every Friday at 9:15 am CDT, so if you don't see it, check your spam box and add me to your SafeSender list.

(2) Please continue to click on the articles you find interesting and scroll through them. This tells Google that this information is worthy and important!

(3) Encourage your gluten-free friends to join my NEWSLETTER HERE. Let's grow this community and forget about Google.

(4) Please join me at Love Me Gluten Free, my new gluten-free subscription box business. My May box is sold out, but you can join the waitlist HERE.

BTW, I'm giving away one May box. πŸ₯³ ENTER THE GIVEAWAY HERE.

(5) Finally, be sure to support other independent bloggers like me. They may not tell you they're hurting, but they are. My professional Facebook groups are filled with bloggers ready to give up.

This is the BEST gluten-free community I've ever been a part of. Thank you for helping me keep it going with your continued support and encouragement!

Passover Ideas

Passover starts Monday night. The holiday marks the birth of the Jewish people. If any nation has an epic origin story, it's the Jewish people!

This story is recounted on the first and second night of the sacred holiday. The Passover story has been passed down from generation to generation for over 3,000 years.

During the 7 days of Passover, Jews can't eat leavened bread. Anything made with wheat, barley, rye, spelt, or oats is off-limits.

Passover is my favorite Jewish holiday for so many reasons. I love the stories, traditions, and foods (I mean, who doesn't love matzo ball soup?!?). And now that I'm gluten-free, it's easier than ever to avoid these leavened grains.

Here are a few Passover recipes to try if you're celebrating Passover or if you're just curious about these traditional foods.

The Chocolate Quinoa Cake is divine - I vow to take a better picture of it when I make it on Sunday.

Bring Him Home

I won't stop talking about Omer Shem Tov, a young Israeli man with celiac disease who was taken h0stage on October 7th.

Omer won't be home for Passover, which is arguably the most important Jewish holiday on the calendar, since he was stolen from us 195 days ago.

This is OMER'S STORY. Please join me in praying for peace and miracles this Passover holiday.

Below is a picture Omer's mother, Shelly, sent me.

In it, Omer (in yellow) celebrates his mom's birthday on October 6th before heading to the now-infamous music festival. This beautiful-yet-haunting photo reminds me of the fragility of freedom and life.

Please pray for Omer's safe return, and join me in wishing the Shem-Tov family peace and comfort this Passover.

And I wish all my Jewish friends a meaningful and uplifting Passover. Am Yisrael Chai.

Sincerely,

Hello Reader, This week was not only my birthday but also the 12th anniversary of my celiac disease diagnosis. I remember the day well. I was noshing on a Subway sandwich when my doctor called and delivered the bad news. I was diagnosed at the age of 35 and could never have predicted that the next 12 years of my life would be forever changed, mostly for the better but, at times, for the worse. It's a daily struggle that, while never easy, does get easier with time. In my article, 10 Lessons...
