This week has been an exceptionally busy week in Gluten-Free Land.

Many brands have launched or announced their new product lineups for the year, and I'm excited about many of these products.

Finally, gluten-free lives matter; these brands want us to know that they deeply care about us.

Tasty & Gluten-Free Portable Meals

If you love to travel but worry about finding safe food, check out my list of 6 Gluten-Free Portable Freeze-Dried Backpacking Meals.

You can carry one or two of these meals with you on your summer adventures, knowing that a warm meal is awaiting you, just in case.

It's hard for me to say which of these meals I loved the most, but I like that Mountain House meals are certified gluten-free, even if they aren't made with the cleanest ingredients.

I thought the Backpacker's Pantry meals were truly delicious, and I love that the Good To-Go meals are made with clean ingredients and are single-serve meals perfectly portioned for one.

New GF Products

Last week, I attended the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim to scope out new products for the year ahead.

I want to share my findings with you - and hope many of these products will be in upcoming Love Me Gluten-Free boxes.

The trip was a whirlwind. Walking the halls was not for the faint of heart. I was elbow-to-elbow with everyone, literally pushing my way through the crowds.

Here is just a taste of a few of the new products I learned about at Expo:

Sweet Loren's is launching three new rolled dough products: (1) Puff pastry, (2) Thin pizza crust, and (3) Pie crust. The puff pastry and pizza crust are coming this spring, and the pie crust will be available in the fall.

Taste Republic showcased its new Gluten-Free Egg Noodles, which taste great in chicken noodle soup.

Undercover Snacks is coming out with a new S'mores flavor.

NuttZo is launching a tasty new S'mores flavor spread.

Siete launched new taco and fajita seasonings. I loved the Lemon Pepper Fajita Seasoning most. The Siete booth was one of the biggest booths at the Expo and was crazy busy!

Glutino showcased these Birthday Cake Pretzel Twists. I'm not sure when they'll be available in stores, but this is definitely a product I would buy!

Ahoy There, Old Friend!

Take a look at the Target website. These gluten-free Chips Ahoy! cookies are listed there but shown as sold out.

Could this product be coming soon? Did Target spill the beans?

I emailed Chips Ahoy! to find out and will report back when/if I find out more details.

It's Purim!

Our Jewish friends are celebrating the festive holiday of Purim on Sunday. The celebration commemorates the story of Esther and how she helped save the Jews from yet another annihilation. Yes, history repeats itself.

I'm whipping up a big batch today with my daughter. These cookies make for a great kid-friendly baking project, and they're truly delicious.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

The Tampa Bay Rays added a dedicated gluten-free stand in right field called "Gluten Free Favorites."

The Kansas City Monarchs (minor league) added a gluten-free concession stand in partnership with Three Bears Bakery.

Bring Him Home

It's been an excruciating 167 days since Omer Shem Tov, a 21-year-old Israeli man with celiac disease, was taken hostage. Omer is just one of 134 innocent souls who are still being held captive by the most evil people on earth.
